▌Upcountry Train

TRL operates two passenger train services a week along the central line between Dar es salaam – Kigoma and Mwanza via Tabora back to Dar es Salaam. The services gradually will increase to six per week.
Three passenger main services per week are run between Tabora and Mpanda

▌Commuter Train

TRL operates commuter train services in urban and suburban at the Dar Es Salaam city. The inaugural journey commenced in 29th October 2012.
It covers the distance of 12km from Ubungo Maziwa to the city centre via Mabibo, Tabata Mwananchi/Relini, Tabata Matumbi, Buguruni Kwa Mnyamani, Buguruni and Kamata.
The service is available during morning and evening rush hours throughout the week excluding Sundays and public holidays.
The ticket price for a single fare is Tshs 400 for adult and Tshs 100 for students.
